InMotion V5 / V8 questions
"Do you have to do a break-in?" No break-in.
"Do you have to perform complete cycles of discharge / recharge?" No, you can recharge it as soon as you have one third less battery.
"The tire seems to rub the mudguard when I roll, is it normal?" This is related to an over-inflation, keep the tire pressure at 3 bar or slightly below to avoid this friction.
"I stuck the oval pads, but they leave glue on the shell." Use scarlet water with a soft, lint-free cloth to dissolve the glue.
First getting started
The V5 is inactive at the time of delivery and must be activated by the following procedure:
Open the rubber cover of the charging port, find the reset button near the charging port, press lightly, then press the button to activate the wheel.
Turn on / off the InMotion electric wheel
V5: press 3 seconds to start / stop
V8: briefly press start / stop
Turn on / off the light
Press the On / Off button after starting: briefly press V5 / long press V8
V8: Turn on / off side lights
When stopped, hold the trigger under the handle and hold the On / Off button at the same time
Put the InMotion single-wheel in airplane mode / Prevent the InMotion gyro-wheel from igniting itself by plane
The reset button is at the charging point. Using a pen, keep pressing the reset button for a few seconds and the wheel will no longer be activated. The only way to reactivate it will be to reload it.
To update the INMOTION application
- Open the application
- Go to ME
- Go to Setting
- Click on About
- Then Check update information
For the pairing of a new INMOTION product
- Open the application
- Click on ME
- Go to Setting
- Click on Owner verification
- Click on the Scan icon on the top right
- Finally click on Submit
To upgrade the product firmware
- Open the application
- Click on SCV
- Click on STATUS
- Then press Upgrade
- For the wheels: always in a supine position or in balance on the end of the fender
InMotion V8 Tire Replacement
- Unscrew the 2 screws at the bottom of each shield on each side of the InMotion V8 monoshell
- Keep the tire access door open (alternately on each side)
- Rotate each shield counterclockwise, grasping the handle of the V8, and the curved portion of the shield (this will turn 5 °)
- Remove the two shields in turn
- Disconnect the motor cable by opening the motherboard cover
- Unscrew the 4 fork screws on each side
- Remove the engine block
- Proceed in a classic way to replace the inner tube
- Reassemble following the steps in reverse. To put the shields back in place, you do not need to rotate it, you have to put it in place and press it hard on the contour to clip it.
Reset InMotion V8 (if the wheel no longer lights up)
- Unscrew the 2 screws at the bottom of the side shield on the opposite side to the trolley
- Keep the tire access hatch open
- Rotate the shield counterclockwise, grasping the handle of the V8 (pull towards you), and the curved part of the shield (push, it will turn 5 °)
- Remove the shield
- Disconnect the battery is the yellow connector
- Reconnect the battery (a small electrical flash will occur in the connector)
- Replace the shield directly in its position by clipping it, by pressing on the contour
- Optionally, screw in the 2 screws
